Honestly it is the best Jamaican patties I've ever had. It's busy, and you might have to wait but it's totally worth it. It's located next to Broward meat and quite frankly, if I wasn't introduced to this place by a friend, I probably would have never gone in. They don't have a lot of food options but hey, if you are good at one thing, why would you trouble yourself with another? Trust me, you have to try this place!

P.S. get a dozen of them and save some in the freezer

There are two guarantees at Taste Rite: Amazing patties and horrible customer service. Yes, you read that correctly. The customer service is where they lose four stars and honestly, the patties are the only reason I continue to give this business my patronage. However, after today's visit, this is my last time.

Typically, I hold off on posting reviews until about two visits to an establishment. But in this case, I've visited Taste Rite, well over 9 or 10 times. Even when my SO goes in on my behalf, he complains of poor customer service and it takes a lot for him to say that.

I have never seen people more agitated at the idea of getting paid than here. Anytime a lady takes my order, I'm given a death stare, horrible attitude and a lot of kissing of the teeth.

On today's visit, I asked for 2 beef patties, then I quickly said "I'm sorry, I meant one cheesy beef and one beef patty" and she let out the loudest sigh ever. As she went to bag up the patties, she aggressively tosses them in the bag and then pushed the bag toward me. I think this is where I should have just walked away but I went ahead and paid for my food instead of making a fuss. I'll say this, we are all entitled to a bad day and no one knows what the next person is going through but this is consistent behavior here.

If you like being treated rudely, by all means, go here. The patties used to make up for the poor attitudes but personally, it's gotten a little old. I'm hoping that the owner of this establishment reads the reviews and addresses this.

Great tasting Jamaican patties. Runs neck to neck with Hammonds with regard to taste, However Hammonds has bigger sized patties.

As you walk in you just knew the patties were going to be bomb just by the smells and aromas of fresh baked goods. It's a small bakery with a couple of tables to sit, however it is more of a grab and go type of place. The gentleman that took my order was very nice and friendly. He didn't have the typical screwface and bad attitude which is common at West Indian eateries. There are a variety of patties, breads, cakes, bread puddings, coco bread, and other baked goods. They have fish, shrimp and veggie patties for vegetarians/pescatarians, and chicken and beef patties for the meat eaters. Being that it was my first time here, I only got 1 beef patty, and a callalloo patty for my daughter to try the place out.

As I jumped in my car and started driving I took what was suppose to be a small bite to taste the patty. By the second red light, my piping hot patty, that I damn near burned my mouth to eat, was all gone. I was forced to make a u-turn to get another beef patty.  It was very good. The crust was baked to perfection with buttery and flaky layers of dough, loaded with a saucy, savory beef filling.  Not sure if I was super hungry or not, but, I felt like the patty gave me life with every bite.

The one and only problem I had was the coconut water that I ordered the second time around. It was going bad. You could taste that it was a bit off. Coconut water goes bad very quickly and must be stored properly or sold quickly. I love coconut water and was very disappointed when I took a sip.

Regardless of the coconut water, I will definitely be back soon for another beef patty fix! Their patties are awesome!

Best patties I've ever had! This bakery has Callaloo, Ackee & saltfish, lobster, shrimp, chicken and beef. The crust is flaky, filling plentiful and seasoned perfectly. Had the callaloo and lobster patty. Passed by while visiting and wasn't disappointed at all.. hence our two trips for breakfast and dinner. No longer residing in Florida, I've told my remaining family and friends there to make sure to stop by and they will not be disappointed. Golden Krust use to be the only patties I'd eat, that's a total wrap! Deserving of the 5 star rating. Hope they keep it up.
